Ghost Trees

This photo was captured along Big Pine Creek, just west of Big Pine, California. I had been photographing subjects in early morning fog until the sun finally came out. On the drive home I came to a low spot in the road and noticed this scene in a lingering pocket of fog. It was another occasion when I only had a few minutes to unlimber my gear, find a composition, and fire the shutter before the opportunity melted away.
